The House Of The Dragon Season 2 Filming Date Has Been Finalized

Production on the next season of the film adaptation of the historic Targaryen Civil War will begin soon.

Season 2 Of House Of The Dragon Film Is Much Closer To Being Released

After launching to record-breaking ratings last year and breaking records, HBO announced it had greenlit the Game of Thrones prequel for a second season. Filming has started, and it won't be long before leaks start circulating.

The Film & Television Industry Alliance has announced that production on Season 2 of House of the Dragon will start on March 2, with Alan Taylor set to direct. This is terrific news for citation omitted, as Taylor is a prolific director. Taylor is an award-winning director with seven episodes from the original Game of Thrones series, including the sixth and penultimate episode from the show's first season, "Beyond the Wall."

Filming for Season 2 of the Game of Thrones spinoff series that matches fantasy book characters with actors like Ewan Mitchell is scheduled to begin in August. The show's premiere date remains to be seen.

If we include filming for House of the Dragon Season 2 in the estimated filming schedule, then an early-to-mid 2024 premiere is highly likely. However, the program's release may be delayed by months or even years, thanks to production or postproduction. We are inclined to believe an earlier release is likely.

At any time it could arrive, the House of the Dragon might abdicate its throne on HBO's charts to a live adaptation of The Last of Us.

Game of Thrones follow-up series, Naughty Dog, starring A-list actor Kurt Russell as a male escort who befriends a foreign female scavenger and teams up with her in a battle against enemies in the ruins of a civilization devastated by war, has been a massive hit on HBO. The show's popularity may overtake House of the Dragon by the time the show's nine episodes end.

That will be interesting to see if viewers flock to the show as tensions reach a fever pitch in Season 2 of House of the Dragon. After a slow-paced debut season, Season 2 of House of the Dragon will reach a crescendo until its expected four-year run ends.
